PRIVACY POLICY
All communications with the Social Work Therapy Referral Service (SWTRS)
are strictly confidential. You may choose to contact us via e-mail or
telephone. Any personal information you choose to reveal will be used
only for the purpose of making a referral or referrals or replying to
your request for information. Personal information will not be stored
or used for any other purpose, nor will we contact you at any later
time for any purpose not related your referral request or question.
We do not trade or sell personal information to any other sites or organizations.
When you visit our website we do not obtain personally identifying information
about you.
We do compile statistics (without identifying information) regarding the number of visits to our web site and the types of requests (specific services, office locations, etc.) so that we can improve our service to better meet the needs of our visitors.
DISCLAIMER
All SWTRS referrals are
provided as a public service of the National Association of Social Workers,
Massachusetts Chapter, a non-profit organization. All social workers
to whom you are referred are independent clinical social workers (LICSW)
licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It is your responsibility
as a consumer to determine whether the social worker to whom you are
referred is a good match for you. Neither NASW nor the Massachusetts
Chapter makes any representations concerning the outcome or success
of any therapy you may enter into and neither NASW nor the Massachusetts
Chapter is responsible for the actions of member clinicians or the outcomes
of therapy after a referral has been made. We do welcome your feedback
about your experience with SWTRS. The information and resources on this
site are for educational purposes only and are not intended to be a
substitute for professional advice. We make no guarantees about the
resources linked to this site. SWTRS is not an emergency service;
if you are suicidal or require immediate attention, call 911 or go to
the nearest hospital. If you have any questions or concerns regarding
